And my last name is Cox...

My friend recently pointed something out to me that I found interesting. I collect Roosters. I call my son Rooster and my last name is Cox. Hmmm... My infatuation with Roosters started when I was 4 or 5 years old. I went to Nature's Classroom and there was a rooster there. For those who are not from around here, Nature's Classroom is a school site that hosts programs for children to learn about nature. It is situated on the Hillsborough River. They take rescue wild animals and recreate their natural habitats. It is really a great place. Well, this Rooster followed me around the whole time I was there. Everyone said he was mean but he took a liking to me.I really wanted to take him home. But, alas, I could not and my little girl heart was broken. I've loved them ever since.

Here are a few of my Roosters.

On the home front my Butterfly Bush is blooming. She has survived a transplant to another part of the garden and two winters. I thought she was a gonner this year, but here she is.

And the Rooster lost his top tooth. After a few weeks of dangling at a precarious angle he finally let me pull it. Of course Daddy had to hold him down but he let me do it. It was so loose all I did was touch it and it came off.

And last but not least we start summer vacation with building forts in the living room.
