We are doing it again...
About 7 years ago we renovated our entire house. Living through a renovation is torture! Anyone who has done it will agree. The dust, living out of boxes, etc. Well, we are doing it again! We are putting in new floors and painting the interior. Most of our furniture is out of the house and everything is off of the walls. This causes me great anxiety because I DO NOT like living this way, but I am also very excited for the finished product.
Possible paint colors. Of course, Richie doesn't like either. So back to the drawing board on paint.
These are our floors now. We have some damage tothem that I did not picture here. We also want to go lighter in color. You see everything on dark wood.
Empty, messy house.

I will reveal the finished product in a few weeks (hopefully). Wish me luck!

The holidays...
Oh, the holiday season has begun. The hustle and bustle, visits with family, tons of food, and the cold weather! But wait (an audible gasp heard by all)! It's so flippin hot down here in Florida! Now I am not one for cold weather but come on already. How am I supposed to get in the holiday spirit. I tried going to the mall for inspiration. I thought the decorations and the crowds would do it for me, but all that did for me was piss me off (excuse the language). Alas, all I ask for is a little holiday spirit.
Today I am thankful for my family and friends, both human and furry. The good health of all. The food on the table and the many blessings that God has given me throughout the year (don't think they have gone unnoticed).
Happy Holidays!

The end of summer...
So this post will be chock full of pictures since it's been a while.Summer is my favorite season and I will miss it. I love everything about Florida in the summer.
So to say goodbye to summer we headed over to Palm Coast and stayed at a resort called Hammock Beach Resort We had a great Labor Day weekend with the family. Unfortunately Rich missed it because he had to work. But I loved spending time with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, and some very dear friends.

It's been 5 months, I know...
I've been lazy and uninspired. Sad but true. Roo started first grade and it's been exciting! We had a long summer and were definitely ready to get back into a normal routine. We had a great trip to Washington DC and of course went to see Hillary in North Carolina. Roo has started palying hockey and that takes up a lot of our time. He will start playing on the recreational team in September!!

We love Easter!!!
In celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior we had a wonderful family get together. We celebrated at the home of my husband's aunt in Floral City. She lives in this beautiful country home that sits on waterfront property at the end of an island. It feels like you're on a plantation on a bayou somewhere. Needless to say, we had wonderful food and a great Easter egg hunt. The kids all had a great time!
